If the thought of Christmas shopping has made your heart sink, don't worry. Your spending may be crippling your credit card but apparently we need to get out onto the high street and chuck our cash about to save the world economy. At least that's the excuse I'm using this year. Not that I need one, I always end up spending loads more than I should because for some reason I find it easier to spend money on other people. Lucky them!
Anyway, Christmas shopping in Liverpool should be easy, or at least extremely festive, because there's loads going on. Late night Christmas shopping in Liverpool is the way forward I think and both Liverpool One and the Met Quarter are staying open late enough for the last minute shoppers to bag a bargain.
Cavern Walks is also staying open late, but it's always a bit pricey for me, which is why I'll probably end up at TK MAXX, hunting through the rails and knick-nacks trying to find a unique gift which doesn't cost the earth.
But that's not very festive of me, is it? No, the way to really get you in the mood for some Christmas shopping in Liverpool is with some tacky fun. And there's loads of it, all in honour of Christmas shopping. In Liverpool's main shopping areas there are stilt walkers, fake snow, reindeers, you name it, they've thought of it.

Plus, if you have absolutely no idea what to buy someone, there's always the Liverpool Christmas market. As well as getting gifts that aren't available in Boots nationwide, you can also stop by here for all sorts of festive food, or just sip a bit of mulled wine if it all gets too much.
And one event which makes Christmas shopping in Liverpool worthwhile is the ice rink at St George's Hall. It's not inside this year, it's just going to be a tiddler outside apparently, but at least my cheeks will get nice and rosy!
Happy Christmas!
