During the course of years I have seen this place as a chain and also as it is now. I must say I do prefer the atmosphere now that it has stopped being a chain restaurant. The place always leaves me feeling fantastic after a visit. I feel like my custom matters and I am always valued whenever I am in there. So much so that I have booked to take my birthday celebrations there at weeks end. The food is always spot on, perfect for me as I am slightly on the large side lol, the staff are extremely polite and courteous and the overall atmosphere is one of comfort and contentment. Great selection of ales and for the first time ever I can honestly say I left food on my plate due to it being so filling I couldn't eat another bite!

My go to place for any special occasion!

Popped Into The Liverpool 1 Bridewell On My Way Home From Town. Me An My Daughter Sat And Ate Some Beautiful Honey and Mustard Sausages And A Bowl Of Beautiful Chips Which By The Way Were Better Than My Nan Used To Make. The Bridewell Is A Lovely Place , The Music And The Staff Were Great Too. Definatly Be Goin Back There Soon xxx

5 star rating. What can i say, i was too embarrassed to use my 15% discount voucher as the service/food/drink that we received on Saturday was no reflection on the modest bill. Excellent food, good atmosphere, brilliant staff. Deferentially worth repeat visits. I would recommend it to anyone.

superb place with a great atmosphere. The staff are very helpful was in on a Sunday night and the male member of staff was very knowledgeable about the beers and helped me choose the right one for me. (was hot 2 lol). This place is a must if you enjoy good ales and super homemade British food will definitely be going back.

Great bar with a good selection of beers, excellent food - the scouse is delicious. Helpful, polite staff and a genial host in Paul Fitzgerald. Open mic nights are always worth a visit for some good music in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Nice outside space for when the sun shines. Definitely heading back there when I'm next home from London.

Have visited this place several times now and have never been disappointed.

The food here is excellent served in a very friendly and efficient manner in a very warm and welcoming venue.

It's hard to pick my favourite off the menu, but the Scouse just tips it.

I was a visitor from Cardiff working away for many months. The Bridewell made me feel very welcome and I was "adopted" by the clientele. Great food, good servings - really nice beer. If you can make it when they have one of their Live Music "Open Mike" nights then go - you will love it. Has a really nice and "safe" atmosphere
