A family run restaurant set in the heart of the cosmopolitan shopping area of Liverpool city centre, this establishment is guaranteed to impress

The Venue
Casa Italia is situated next to Liverpool’s upmarket shopping precinct, The Met Quarter. This is an area where you can browse the likes of Armani, Dolce & Gabbana and Hugo Boss. However, Casa Italia is a world away from these pricey joints with its chequered table cloths, and cafe-like atmosphere.

You may not realise it is there, as the only advert is the modest sign outside. It relies on word of mouth, and its long standing reputation. Reservations are rarely needed at Casa Italia and the staff do their best to find you a table you with minimum waiting time.

The Atmosphere
The restaurant is bustling day and night. The relaxed feel to this restaurant makes dining here a very enjoyable experience. Dress code is very casual; you may even find football fans in shirts and scarves after a match at one of the two Premiership Liverpool clubs.

The restaurant is very loud, and if you want a quiet, candle-lit romantic dinner, then this isn’t the place for you. Casa Italia is perfect for a meal before you go out to hit the clubs and bars that Liverpool has to offer. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, their Italian passion for great food and impeccable service shines through.

The Food
The menu has the usual selection of pizzas, pastas and garlic bread; however the staff are very happy to accommodate your requirements if you’re feeing inventive and would like to mix things up. There is nothing on the menu that you wouldn’t find in another Italian restaurant, but the quality of food is what counts.

The Calzone pizza is packed full of toppings and stringy mozzarella cheese, and comes at the affordable price of £7.95. If you have room for more, the sweet trolley is wheeled your way which offers treats such as tiramisu (of course), chocolate cake, and real Italian ice cream, followed by traditional Italian coffees.

The Drink
There’s an extensive wine selection that isn’t going to break the bank The house wine weighs in at a light on the wallet, £1.85. Carlsberg, Peroni and Budweiser are the lagers available and they are all served ice cold to go perfectly with your mouth watering meals.

The Last Word
A bustling, yet relaxed Italian restaurant in the middle of the city, providing great service and wonderful dishes.
