PLEASE READ THIS DONT GO. Possibly the worst meal I have ever had.

When we got there it was a very nice place, then I ordered lemonade and orange my lemonade was flat so I thought never mind.

The starter was very nice but there was no oils on the table only salt and pepper. We then ordered chargrilled lamb chops and the kleftika lamb on the bone.

we got 6 lamb chops with a slice of lemon and the kleftika was like a cheap tin of chopped tomato with herb had been poured over the top (2 spoonfuls) served with a slice of lemon.

Then came our rice and chips about 20 chips and a cupful of rice ( no greek roast potatoes ?)after finishing and still hungry we paid £38 and nobody asked if we enjoyed our meal.

I hope nobody tries to copy this restaurant and would never go there again it would put you off eating greek food for life.

I completely disagree with the bad review, Zorba's has a lovely homely feel and the staff are very well mannered and look after their customers.

If your drink was flat you should have told them - I'm sure they would have been more than happy to sort it out for you. You shouldn't complain about that if you didn't give the staff a chance to sort it out.

How often in a restaurant do you get oils on the table? Once again, if you wanted oil you should have asked for it!

As for the food, it is freshly prepared and you get plenty of it. I didn't try the lamb but the barbecue sauce over my kebab came in vast amounts and was delicious. Regarding the rice and chips, after the reasonably sized starters, free bread and lots of meat with the mains, we could hardly fit in any chips or rice.

If you wanted Greek potatoes you should have eaten somewhere where they were on the menu.

We were very well looked after and the whole experience was very enjoyable. We paid £46 for starters, mains, desserts, drinks and coffees. Well worth it.

If you are thinking about eating at Zorba's, disguard the bad review - the writer sounds too pretentious to embrace the real Greek experience. I loved it and will be back again! What a great little gem of a restaurant. The staff make you feel very much at home. - Report
